Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the body and places an emphasis on core strength. It helps improve general fitness, as well as overall well-being. It concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.

Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection as you need  to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.

This class is suitable for beginners.

‘Sound Healing Meditation’

A deeper form of meditation without any participation required. Lie down, relax and allow the vibrations and sounds of the instruments to wash over you to heal and uplift emotional burdens and disharmonies within.

Bring a mat to lie on, a blanket/duvet/sleeping bag and pillow/cushion.

Some of the benefits of Sound Healing Meditation are as follows: cleansing negative energy and emotions, relieving stress, deeper relaxation, aiding recovery after illness or trauma, improving sleep and increasing energy levels.

‘Morning Yoga’

A movement meditation guided by breath. Keeping the traditional aspects of yoga, Gabriela will guide you through flows designed to strengthen and stretch. This class is suitable for beginners through to the experienced.

‘Children’s Yoga’

Run by Sarah from Yoga Bears Wirral, there is a weekly class on a Wednesday after school and also a monthly classes on a Saturday. In addition, there are other ‘special’ sessions, all of which are detailed on Sarah’s Facebook and Instagram (see below).

Yoga has been shown to benefit children in a myriad of ways –  physically, socially and emotionally. We are very excited to be able to offer these classes, which are run by a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher of children’s yoga.

Wednesday(weekly): 4pm to 5pm 

Saturday (monthly): next sessions 2nd February 2019 (1pm to 2pm AND 2pm to 3pm)

Also, special half-term activity: Tuesday 19th February (9am to Noon)

 Suitable from 14 weeks, this is a wonderful way to exercise and prepare for labour. Pregnancy yoga is a combination of yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation. No previous yoga experience is needed.
